HOT AIR FRYER COOKING APPARATUS
Technical area
The present invention relates to a cooking appliance of the hot air fryer type and relates particularly to the system for supporting a basket in a tank of the hot air fryer.
State of the art
Cooking appliances of the hot air fryer type are known to those skilled in the art. Such devices make it possible to greatly reduce the amount of fat, or even to eliminate it completely, during the cooking of food which can be of vegetable or animal origin, for example french fries or fish. Cooking is done with little or no oil thanks to the hot air circulating in a tank, which allows you to consume more dietetic foods, crispy outside and soft inside. Due to the reduction or removal of cooking oil, these appliances emit less odor and fat; their cleaning is further simplified.
A cooking appliance of the hot air fryer type generally comprises a removable bowl configured to receive a basket in which the food to be cooked is arranged. Once the basket is placed in the tank, the assembly is inserted into a chamber in which hot air is blown by means of a hot air blowing system incorporated in said device. The hot pulsed air circulates in the room and in the tank containing the basket with the food, thus ensuring its cooking.
To ensure homogeneous cooking of food, the bottom of the basket must be kept away from the bottom of the tank and the circulation of hot air must be adequate in the tank.
It is known the German utility model published under the number DE202017103259U which describes a hot air fryer in which the bottom of the tank has relief shapes and the basket includes, on its upper front part, a handling handle provided with 'a first leg which comes to bear on the upper rim of the tank and, on its lower rear part, two second legs coming to bear punctually on two protruding parts of the raised bottom of the tank. Although this implementation promotes a homogeneous distribution of hot air in the tank and around the basket and ensures stability of the basket placed in the tank, it has several drawbacks. Indeed, when placing the basket in the tank, the user must take care to engage the basket handling handle on the rim of the tank while suitably positioning the second legs bearing on the raised parts of the bottom of the tank ; the games existing in the zone of engagement of the handling handle on the tank can cause a bad positioning of the two second legs on the two raised parts of the bottom of the tank. In addition, the friction of the second legs on the bottom of the tank can degrade said bottom.
Summary of the invention
The present invention uses a cooking appliance of the hot air fryer type which allows a homogeneous distribution of the hot air in the tank in order to properly cook all the food placed in the basket, while ensuring precise, intuitive positioning and stable basket in the tank, without risk of damage to the bottom of said tank.
To this end, the invention relates to a cooking appliance of the hot air fryer type comprising a tank and a basket. The cooking appliance also includes other characteristics that are traditionally found on such an appliance, namely a chamber allowing the reception of the tank with the basket housed therein and a hot air blowing system allowing to draw hot air from the chamber and the tank.
According to the invention, the basket comprises a front side on which is arranged a handling handle provided with a tab and the tank comprises an upper rim and a front side on which is arranged a zone for receiving the handling handle. The tab is supported on the upper rim and the handling handle is housed in the receiving area when positioning the basket in the tank.
The front side is defined by the position of the handling handle, placed on the front of the cooking appliance once the tank and the basket have been introduced into the chamber of the said appliance, the introduction being made from front to back by action on said manipulation handle and vice versa for removal.
Remarkably, according to the invention, the basket comprises an external wall provided with at least a first assembly part and the tank comprises an internal wall provided with at least a second assembly part. The at least one first assembly part and the at least one second assembly part are configured to cooperate and ensure lateral guidance of the basket during its positioning in the tank until it reaches a centered support position. basket in the tank to keep the bottom of the basket away from the bottom of the tank and laterally wedge the basket in the tank.
According to a first design of the cooking appliance, a single first assembly part and a single second assembly part are used. The basket comprises a rear side provided on its external face with a first assembly part and the tank comprises a rear side provided on its internal face with a second assembly part. The first assembly part and the second assembly part are configured to cooperate and ensure lateral guidance of the basket during its positioning in the tank until reaching a centered support position of the basket in the tank making it possible to maintain the bottom of the basket away from the bottom of the tank and wedge the basket laterally in the tank.
According to a second design of the cooking appliance, two first assembly parts and two second assembly parts are used. The basket comprises two lateral sides each provided on their external faces with a first assembly part and the tank comprises two lateral sides each provided on their internal faces with a second assembly part. The first two assembly parts and the two second assembly parts are configured to cooperate and ensure lateral guidance of the basket during its positioning in the tank until reaching a centered support position of the basket in the tank allowing to keep the bottom of the basket away from the bottom of the tank and to wedge the basket laterally in the tank.
Other design variants of the cooking appliance could be envisaged with a variable number of first assembly parts and second assembly parts, the positions of which will depend, for example, on the shape of the outer wall of the basket and on the shape of the inner wall of the tank.
The guidance and centering ensure an intuitive positioning of the basket in the tank until it reaches a support position where the basket is wedged in the tank, during the positioning of the handling handle in the reception area. This setting makes it possible to maintain a constant spacing between the basket and the tank, over their entire perimeter, which ensures a uniform flow of hot air over the entire contour of the basket. The positions of the at least one first assembly part and of the at least one second assembly part respectively on the external and internal walls ensure that the basket is kept in the tank without having to rest on the bottom of said tank. , thus avoiding any scratch on it during the handling of the basket.
According to a preferred embodiment of the cooking appliance, each first assembly part comprises two guide branches extending upwards, approaching one another until forming a vertex. In addition, each second assembly part includes a protruding element which is housed between the two branches during the positioning of the basket in the tank. In other words, the two branches more or less form an inverted V, the flared part of the V facilitating the introduction of the protruding element between the two branches; then the narrowing of the inverted V allows the branches to guide the basket with respect to the protruding element in order to center the basket in the tank, until reaching the point of the inverted V where the branches are wedged and resting against the protruding element.
One could consider a reverse design to the aforementioned preferred embodiment. Indeed, the first assembly part on the basket can comprise the protruding element and the second assembly part on the tank can comprise the two branches which, in this case, extend downwards - and not towards the top - by approaching until forming a small bowl, said protruding element being received between the two branches until coming into abutment in the small bowl, during positioning of the basket in the tank.
According to this preferred embodiment and for an implementation of the cooking appliance according to the aforementioned first design, the lower ends of the guide branches are extended towards the front of the appliance, that is to say in direction of the handling handle, by two deflectors arranged at right angles to said branches, said deflectors extending under the bottom of the basket. These deflectors guide the circulation of hot air in the tank during cooking. Thus, hot air circulates in a controlled manner in the tank and the basket, for optimal cooking of food. These two deflectors form a point oriented towards the front of the tank. Preferably, the branches and the deflectors are formed in a single piece. Preferably, the branches and the deflectors are made of plastic. The deflectors are configured to remain distant from the bottom of the tank when the basket is housed in said tank, that is to say when the top between the two branches is wedged on the protruding element, in order to avoid any risk scratch on the bottom of the tank.
According to this preferred embodiment of the cooking appliance implemented according to the first design or according to the second design, or even according to any other design variant, each protruding element is formed by a boss on the internal wall of the tank. Alternatively, each protruding element may be formed from an attached piece on the inner wall of the tank.
According to the cooking appliance object of the invention, a locking system is arranged between the handling handle and the receiving area so as to keep the basket and the tank assembled. This locking system can be deactivated by a control button so as to separate the basket from the tank. These characteristics are already known on cooking appliances of the fryer type.

detailed description
Figures 1 to 6 do not illustrate as a whole the cooking appliance of the hot air fryer type, but only the characteristics of the invention which relate to the tank and the basket. The other characteristics (hot air blowing system, chamber in which the tank and the basket are inserted, etc.) of such an appliance are already known, which is why they are not described below. Those skilled in the art can refer to the hot air fryers already existing on the market.
Figures 1 and 2 show a basket 1 placed in a tank 2 and assembled with it. As illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 3, the tank 2 comprises an upper rim 3, a bottom 4, a front side 5, a rear side 6, two lateral sides 7, 8 and a front 9 which is arranged on the front side 5. A reception area 10 is provided on the facade 9. The upper edge 3 comprises a small notch 11 arranged opposite the reception area 10. The reception area 10 comprises in its lower part 10a an opening 12. As the 'illustrate Figures 1, 2, 4 and 5, the basket 1 comprises a front side 13, a rear side 14, two lateral sides 15, 16, a bottom 17 and a handling handle 18 which is fixed to the front side 13 at by means of a tab 19 having a curved shape. The handling handle 18 comprises a body 20 of dimensions adapted to the receiving area 10 and a handle 21 for gripping. A control button 22 is arranged in the upper part of the handle 21 to activate a transmission mechanism 23 acting on a latch 24 for unlocking the basket 1 with respect to the tank 2. When the basket 1 is placed in the tank 2, the tab 19 is positioned in the small notch 11.1 body 20 is positioned in the receiving area 10 and the latch 24 enters the opening 12 and engages under the rear edge 25 of this opening 12, ensuring the locking the basket 1 on the tank 2. The actuation of the button 22 releases the latch 24 from the rear edge 25 of the opening 12, to unlock the basket 1 and extract it from the tank 2. Two fingers 26, 27 are arranged on the lateral sides 20a, 20b of the body 20 and are positioned in guide notches 28, 29 arranged on the lateral sides 10b, 10c of the reception zone 10; when the fingers 26, 27 are housed in the notches 28, 29, the basket 1 is wedged in translation from front to rear with respect to the tank 2 and the front side 13 of the basket 1 is wedged in translation laterally screws opposite the front side 5 of the tank 2.
Thus, the transmission mechanism 23, the latch 24 and the rear edge 25 form a locking system arranged between the handling handle 18 and the receiving area 10 so as to keep the basket 1 and the tank 2 assembled, said system locking being deactivated by a control button 22 so as to separate the basket from the tank.
As illustrated in Figures 4 to 6, the basket 1 comprises a first assembly part 30 which is preferably made of plastic, for example a phenylene polysulfide (PPS). This part 30 is attached to an external face 31 on the rear side 14 and to a lower face 32 of the bottom 17 by means of three assembly points 33, 34, 35, said assembly being carried out by screwing on the contour 17a of the bottom and on the rear side 14. The part 30 comprises two guide branches 36, 37 whose lower ends 36a, 37a are flared and the upper ends 36b, 37b meet at a vertex 38. The two branches 36, 37 are arranged against the external face 31 on the rear side 14. The part 30 also comprises two deflectors 39, 40 which are arranged at right angles to the branches 36, 37 and under the lower face 32 of the bottom 17. The rear ends 39a, 40a of the deflectors 39, 40 extend the lower ends 36a, 37a of the branches 36, 37 and the front ends 39b, 40b of the deflectors 39, 40 meet to form a point 41. The branches 36, 37 are arranged symmetrically between them relative to the median plane of the basket 1, the top 38 being located in this median plane. Similarly, the deflectors 39, 40 are arranged symmetrically with respect to the median plane of the basket 1.
As illustrated in FIG. 3, the internal face 42 of the rear side 6 of the tank 2 comprises a second assembly part comprising a protruding element 43 which is implemented by making a boss on said rear side 6. One could however, by screwing back a stud (not illustrated) on this internal face 42 in order to implement said protruding element 43. The protruding element 43 is arranged in the median plane of the tank 2.
As illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, when the basket 1 is placed in the tank 2, the lower ends 36a, 37a of the branches 36, 37 are each positioned on one side of the protruding element 43, the flared shape of the branches 36, 37 facilitating the introduction of the protruding element 43 between said lower ends 36a, 37a. during the insertion of the basket 1 into the tank 2, the narrowing of the spacing between the branches 36, 37 makes it possible to center the apex 38 with respect to the protruding element 43, until said apex 38 comes into abutment against said protruding element 43. In this abutment position illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2, the bottom 17 of the basket 1 is distant from the bottom 4 of the tank 2. Likewise, the deflectors 39, 40 are out of contact from the bottom 4 of the tank 2. In addition, the protruding element 43 is wedged between the upper ends 36b, 37b of the branches 36, 37, which blocks the lateral translation of the rear side 14 of the basket 1 vis-à-vis the rear side 6 of the tank 2. As described above, once the body 20 of the handling handle 18 is inserted in the reception area, the fingers 26, 27 of said body 20 are wedged back and forth in the notches 28, 29 on said reception area, which blocks any translation back and forth (and vice versa) between the basket 1 and the tank 2 and, thus, ensures the maintenance of the crown 38 in abutment against the protruding element 43. In other words, the protruding element 43 cannot disengage from the two branches 36, 37. The wedging in translation laterally of the front 13 and rear 14 sides of the basket 1 opposite the front 5 and rear 6 sides of the tank 2 and the wedging in translation from front to back (and vice versa) of the basket 1 with respect to the tank 2 make it possible to keep the basket 1 centered with respect to the tank 2 and, thus, to maintain a constant space 44 between the periphery of the basket 1 and the tank periphery 2.
Thus, the precise positioning of the basket 1 in the tank 2 is carried out intuitively by means of the branches 36, 37 and the protruding element 43 which guide the insertion of the basket 1 into the tank 2. The constant space 44 between the periphery of the basket 1 and the periphery of the tank 2 ensures a homogeneous distribution of the hot air in the tank 2, around the basket 1. Maintaining the bottom 17 of the basket 1 away from the bottom 4 of the tank 2 also ensures the circulation of the hot air in a homogeneous way under the basket 1. The presence of the deflectors 39, 40 under the basket 1 makes it possible to direct the flow of hot air and to make it circulate suitably in the tank 2 and the basket 1 .
Other characteristics are possible without departing from the scope of the invention.
As illustrated in Figures 1, 2, 4 and 5, the bottom 17 of the basket 1 is removable to facilitate cleaning, or even to change the bottom 17 depending on the type of food to be cooked. For this, the bottom 17 rests on the contour 17a and is held in position by means of elastic strips 45, 46.
The manipulation handle 18 is removable from the basket 1 to facilitate cleaning of the basket 1. For this, as illustrated in FIGS. 2 and 5, the body 20 of the manipulation handle 18 comprises on its lateral sides 20a, 20b two triggers 47, 48 which can be actuated to move a bolt 49 on the body 20 and take it out of a keeper 50 arranged on the lug 19, so as to unlock the lug 19 with respect to the body 20 and to allow the downward clearance of the handling handle 18 relative to the tab 19.
Design variants of the invention are possible.
One can for example arrange on the external face 31 of the rear side 14 of the basket 1, a protruding element similar to the protruding element 43 and arrange on the internal face 42 of the rear side 6 of the tank 2, two branches of similar design to branches 36, 37, but the direction of which is reversed so that the top 38 is found at the bottom and forms a small bowl in which the protruding element of the basket 1 is housed when it is placed in the tank 2. In in this case, the deflectors 39, 40 will be implemented by means of an independent part, in a position similar to that illustrated in FIG. 4.
One can also provide several protruding elements similar to the protruding element 43 and arranged on the inner wall 51 of the tank 2 and provide as many branches similar to the two branches 36, 37 and arranged on the outer wall 52 of the basket 1 in correspondence with the protruding elements. For example, two protruding elements are arranged on the internal faces 53, 54 of the lateral sides 7, 8 of the tank 2 and two sets of two branches are arranged on the external faces 55, 56 of the lateral sides 15, 16 of the basket 1.
In this case, the deflectors 39, 40 will be implemented by means of an independent part, in a position similar to that illustrated in FIG. 4. It is also possible to reverse the positions of the protruding elements and of the branches on the internal walls 51 and external 52, as explained above.
